on accommodation of students and doctoral students in the selected UMCS Student Residence Halls during summer holidays in the 2022/2023 academic year
§ 1
1. A student/doctoral student applying for the possibility of living in the UMCS Student Residence Hall during the summer holidays is obliged to fill in the application form constituting Appendix no. 12 to the Regulations on Benefits for Students of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Regulations).
2. The application referred to in sec. 1 should be submitted to the administration of the Residence Hall in which the UMCS student/doctoral student lives in the 2022/2023 academic year or to the administration of the Residence Hall in which he/she would like to live by selecting it from the list referred to in sec. 3 (this shall apply only to UMCS students/doctoral students who do not live in any of the UMCS Student Residence Halls in the 2022/2023 academic year).The application should be submitted by June 26, 2023 at the latest (application form). Submitting an application is not tantamount to receiving a place in a dormitory for the holiday period.
3. During the summer holidays it is possible to accommodate in the following UMCS Dormitories:
- “KRONOS” Dormitory – 100 places
- “ZANA” Dormitory – 120 places
- “AMOR” Dormitory – 60 places
- “GRZEŚ” Dormitory – 100 places
- “IKAR” Dormitory – 150 places
- “FEMINA” Dormitory – 80 places
4. A student/doctoral student shall be assigned a place in a dormitory for summer holidays especially if they: serve an apprenticeship/internship, take up a job (a confirmation required), cannot come back to their home country, or need to conduct research connected with their studies, including the research required to prepare the diploma thesis.
5. The priority in obtaining a place in a dormitory for the summer holidays is given to students who currently reside in the UMCS Student Halls.
6. The submission of an application to the administration of the UMCS Residence Hall where the student/doctoral student lived in the 2022/2023 academic year is not tantamount to receiving a place for the holiday period in the same dormitory.
7. The submission of an application to the administration of the UMCS Residence Hall included in the list referred to in sec. 3 by a student/doctoral student who currently does not reside in any of the UMCS Residence Halls is not tantamount to receiving a place in a dormitory for the holiday period.
8. The condition for accommodating students/doctoral students currently residing in the UMCS Dormitories for the holiday period is the payment of all existing dormitory fees by 25 June 2023.
9. Students/doctoral students shall be accommodated in double-occupancy rooms.
10. Students who received permission to stay at the UMCS Dormitories during the summer holidays for a period of at least one calendar month, pay the same fee as in the academic year.
11. The payment shall be made to the individual bank account number, to which the accommodation fee during the 2022/2023 academic year was paid by the 15th day of each month.
12. Until 19 September 2023, students accommodated during the summer holidays, who will not be assigned a place of residence in the UMCS Dormitory in the academic year 2023/2024, are obliged to check out.
13. Students/doctoral student who will be assigned a place in the UMCS Residence Hall for the summer period in the 2022/2023 academic year is obliged to confirm the place by sending an e-mail to the administration of the dormitory, where the place was granted, by June 30, 2023. E-mail addresses of individual administration of UMCS Student Dormitories are available on the UMCS website.
14. Deposit/booking fee is not charged during the procedure of applying for a place in the UMCS Residence Hall in the 2022/2023 academic year.
§ 2
1. Payments for accommodation in the Student Residence Halls shall be made according to the price list for the 2022/2023 academic year, subject to §1 sec. 8-11.
2. People who check out of the Dormitory are obliged to collect all their personal belongings and make all settlements.
