PRS

The Polish Rhetoric Society (PRS) is an academic association which aims at:

broadening the knowledge of rhetoric,
advancing rhetoric as an academic discipline,
promoting the teaching of rhetoric,
facilitating professional cooperation among its members and their institutions.

Since 2015 Anna Bendrat has been a PRS Board Member and the editor of the Res Rhetorica journal.

The PRS aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue relating to ancient and contemporary rhetoric. Members of the Society represent various disciplines (Polish philology, classical philology, applied linguistics, history, philosophy, sociology) with the view to expanding the awareness and understanding of rhetoric. Every year, the Society organizes conferences and seminars, and patrons oratorical competitions and student debates.

The Polish Rhetoric Society is the publisher of the international journal Res Rhetorica and the Rhetoricum publishing series.

Since 2017 PRS has been the co-organizer of the Media in America (podlinkowane: https://mediaameryka.wixsite.com/umcs) conference series.
