Paulina Guba, a member of the Academic Sports Association (AZS UMCS) of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, won the gold medal in the women’s shot put at the European Athletics Championships in Berlin on Wednesday. Poland’s athlete recorded the winning throw of 19.33 meters in the final round of the competition. Guba made history becoming Polish first-ever European women’s shot put champion.
