The Rector of UMCS prof. dr hab. Stanisław Michałowski has issued an announcement that all the classes for students and doctoral students at UMCS will be suspended till April 15th, 2020.
The Rector issued the announcement concerning epidemiological situation and measures to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus at UMCS in Lublin. All classes for students and doctoral students at UMCS are suspended until further notice, but not shorter than until April 15,2020.
Organization of UMCS during the lockdown:
1. All classes, seminars, conferences and other events are cancelled till April 15th, 2020
2. All UMCS facilities such as libraries, sports facilities, swimming pools, cultural centres and UMCS museums will be closed till April 15th, 2020
3. University administration will be working during the lockdown; faculty and students should minimize direct personal contact with administration, it is recommended to use email or USOS for correspondence and/or telephone contact.
4. The Deans will inform students about the changes in academic process, when it is possible professors and academic advisors will switch to on-line teaching and consultations.
5.All international visits by students and faculty (both outgoing and incoming) are cancelled till April 15th, 2020.
6. Visitors are not allowed to any student housing (DS). Accommodation of the new residents in dormitories will be suspended till April 15th, 2020.
Advice for students:
1. Please adhere to the policy of social distancing, avoid (if possible) or minimize visiting places with large public gatherings (restaurants, pubs, public transportation, airports, shopping centers etc.)
2. Follow general public health instructions (wash hands frequently, retain safe distance, avoid people with symptoms of colds etc.) For information you can check:
