On October 21-22, 2024, the International Maria Curie-Skłodowska Congress entitled "Innovation is a Woman: Science, Business, Education" will be held at the Lublin Conference Centre. This event marks one of the most anticipated highlights of the 80th anniversary celebrations of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University.
The initiative aims to bring together representatives from the fields of business, science, and education, featuring prominent figures recognized in the Polish economic and scientific landscape, alongside members of government administration. Additionally, the Congress will welcome participants from the ATHENA European Universities consortium.
The event will include a series of panel discussions, as well as an immersive encounter with the avatar of Maria Curie-Skłodowska. Participants can also look forward to the inaugural edition of the innovative project entitled "Maria Curie Exploratorium."
Moreover, the Congress will feature an artistic component, including a play about the patron of UMCS, entitled "Pierwiastki życia" (Elements of Life), to be performed at the UMCS Academic Centre for Culture and Media Chatka Żaka. A concert by the Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra "Amadeus," conducted by Agnieszka Duczmal, will take place at the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin.
Participation in the Congress and its accompanying events is complimentary; however, space is limited. We encourage interested individuals to register before the deadline of October 14.

We would also like to inform those unable to attend in person that the event will be streamed live on UMCS social media platforms, including Facebook and YouTube.
