This fourth competition in the series will take place under the sub theme "Good idea!" and is aimed at creating a project for an innovative and creative invention that would most effectively facilitate the existence of all people living on Earth.

This competition aims to popularise scientific research, development work and scientific achievements, to arouse cognitive curiosity and develop interest in science. Participants in the competition have to show in a feasible way the usefulness of scientific knowledge in everyday life and to encourage young people to discover and enjoy science.

Almost all of us have to deal with everyday challenges. But what if someone suddenly came up with a solution to any unexpected problems that might arise? For instance, a sustainable method for the recycling of plastic bottles in a home, method/device for washing clothes while on a trip, a sustainable paper mug to replace one made from ceramics or even a method to charge your phone battery if you don’t have a source of electricity/power bank. How could the everyday life of the inhabitants of our planet be made easier?

The participants' task is to come up with an invention that can solve one of the common problems we face every day and then record a video presentation about it. The maximum length of the video is 300 seconds and the competition entry must be uploaded to YouTube and a link to the video must be provided in the application form.

A jury will select three winners from all the entries and will be guided by the following criteria: the submitted work's relevance to the competition objective, the creativity and innovative approach to the topic and the originality in the presenting of the project.

The winners will receive attractive prizes of up to PLN 2,500 (gross)!

The competition is international in nature and is mainly open to participants from secondary schools in Poland and abroad.

Applications for the competition are open to 12.09.2021.
