Let's eat ŻUR [ʒur] together!

Today, on Easter Saturday, 3rd April 2021, an event took place from 10 am, entitled: "Let's eat ŻUR [ʒur] together!" It aimed to provide Easter meals for all residents of student houses spending Easter in Lublin.

Students staying in dormitories come from different parts of Poland, and due to the distance, they cannot spend the Easter period in their family homes. International students also make a large group. With these people in mind, the university has prepared a snack containing traditional sour rye soup with bread and an egg.

Then, at 12:00, there was an online meeting on the MS Teams platform, where the students could talk with:

Dr Marcin Gołębiowski, Director of the UMCS Promotion Center
Mr Maciej Cieciora, Chairman of the Promotion and Marketing Committee of ZUSS UMCS

The event was organized on the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University Promotion Center initiative in cooperation with the University Board of the Students' Self-Government of ZUSS. The meals were prepared by the "Trójka" academic canteen employees, while the UMCS Academic Legion Association helped with distribution.
