We join the invitation to read the latest issue of "Wiadomości Uniwersyteckie." In the "Our Alumni" section, you will find an inspiring interview with Mirosław Lubarski, co-founder of Grupa PSB, a graduate of geography at UMCS, and a former employee of our university, where he worked in the Department of Physical Geography. The interview was conducted by Magdalena Cichocka from the WU editorial team.
In the interview, Mirosław Lubarski shares his student years, full of challenges and unforgettable memories of academic life in Lublin. He recalls his involvement in the student scientific circle, where, with the support of his mentor, Dr. Andrzej Wiśliński, he participated in the study of snow patches in the High Tatras. It was there that he gained not only scientific knowledge but also his first experiences in team organization.
The interview also reveals the fascinating career path of our graduate — from working at the university and his role at the Geological Enterprise to co-founding Grupa Polskie Składy Budowlane, currently one of the largest Polish trading organizations. Mirosław Lubarski also shares his reflections on the challenges he faced in the early years of his business career and the successes he achieved through determination and commitment.
The interview touches on personal topics as well — discussing his passion for travel and photography, which have allowed him to see almost the entire world and capture its beauty in photographs. The conversation concludes with his thoughts on the future of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, to which our alumnus wishes courage in reforms and continued growth.
