International Women’s Day is a worldwide event that celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – while also calling for gender equality. On 8th March, thousands of events are held throughout the world both to inspire and honour women for their accomplishments. Here at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin we will be marking the occasion a little earlier, on 7th March, with a series of activities and events set to take place at “Chatka Żaka”, the academic cultural centre of UMCS. The programme includes: dance class for beginners, short seminar on how to balance being a student and a parent, individual consultations with stylists, hairdressers and opticians. In the evening, Patrick the Pan will play a concert to conclude the celebrations.
International Women’s Day will be celebrated on 7th March between 13.00 and 17.00 at Chatka Żaka, the academic cultural centre of UMCS. The concert starts at 19.00.
Participation is free of charge. Workshops attendance will be limited to registered participants.
