"UMCS in solidarity with Ukraine" campaign covered the money collection on zrzutka.pl. In order to support our students from Ukraine and their families, thanks to the efforts of the whole academic community and its friends, 41,584 zlotys was collected. These funds will be used to support most needed people from Ukraine. We would like to inform you that the first part of money has already been spent. Groceries, long-term food and hygiene products were purchased. On April 11 and 12, 2022, prof. Dorota Kołodyńska Vice-rector for students affairs and the quality of education, dr Alina Czarnacka Rector's Proxy for Ukraine and volunteers handed over packages to Ukrainian students and their families living in UMCS dormitories. About 65 people received support. Additional help for UMCS students who found themselves in an exceptionally difficult material and life situation is also being prepared. We would like to thank all the people who actively raised the money for Ukraine.
