From November 2019 to January 2020, cyclical meetings of “Hakuna Matata” will take place in the co-working space of the “Trójka” student canteen on Langiewicza 16. The next meeting called “Face the Challenge” will take place on 16.01.2020 at 19:00-20:30. Free entrance.
Program “Hakuna Matata” has been developed by the Promotion Centre of UMCS and foreign students of the university. Its idea is to create a common platform within which they will be able to integrate and know other cultures and traditions. By participation in the program the members of academic community of Lublin will also have an opportunity to acquire new, interpersonal or linguistic skills. During thematic meet ups students will use English language which – thanks to informal and friendly atmosphere - will allow them to break down communication barriers and get used to conversations in foreign language.
Project “Hakuna Matata” means joining a multicultural community where students from around the world will be sharing their experiences. There will be national dishes, talent shows and other attractions. The initiative also aims at broadly understood integration taking place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, smile and friendship, hence the name: in Swahili “Hakuna Matata” means Don’t worry, Be happy!
We cordially invite you to the new spaces of the Student Canteen “Trójka” on Langiewicza 16. The next meeting called “Face the Challenge” will take place on 16.01.2020 at 19:00-20:30. Free entrance.
