Maria Curie-Skłodowska University along with “Chatka Żaka” Academic Cultural Centre are delighted to invite staff and students to a Christmas carol concert “The most beautiful Christmas carols of Europe”. The event will be held on Sunday 7th January at 4 pm in the performance hall of the Media and Art Incubatorat Chatka Żaka.
The five-part performance will feature the most beautiful European Christmas carols and seasonal songs. Apart from a whole host of Polish Christmas classics the audience will hear a collection of compositions from other European counties, including Spain, Italy, Slovakia and Austria. Agnieszka Gertner-Polak (soprano) accompanied by Monika Rosca (piano) will perform seasonal pieces, such as "Bóg się rodzi", "Campana sobre campana", "Tu scendi dalle stelle" and "Still, still, still”.
Entry is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
