On 18th March 2021, the University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska in Lublin signed a cooperation agreement with the Asseco Data Systems S.A. - a company belonging to the Asseco capital group, the sixth-largest software producer in Europe.
Asseco Data Systems creates advanced IT solutions that are the driving force behind the digital revolution of enterprises. It provides IT systems for many industries in: education, financial, insurance, services, and the local government administration sector. Moreover, it operates in both the Polish and foreign markets and specializes in among others: paperless and mass correspondence services, software development for the leasing industry, cloud based-innovation and, smart city.
It is the largest electronic signature provider in Poland and a leading developer of comprehensive IT offers for universities. The Rector of UMCS Professor Radosław Dobrowolski after signing the agreement had this to say “I hope that the agreement scope, which has been outlined very broadly, will soon result in joint research, education and implemented projects. The contract with Asseco Data Systems is actually the first step in the right direction of building a proper brand of Centrum Ecotech-Complex."
