The reviewed report addresses a key challenge of contemporary economies, namely the management of municipal waste, and in particular plastic waste. The issue of reverse logistics of macromolecular waste is both an urgent and prospective topic in the context of Poland's international obligations and the need to meet the requirements of European Union directives. The report presents the characteristics of the results of quantitative and qualitative research carried out in the Polish economy in the context of plastic waste management. The research was carried out as part of a NCN (National Science Centre) grant, indicating the growing costs of maintaining the waste collection and processing system and the challenges of waste segregation systems in Poland. The presented research results make the publication exceptionally important from the point of view of science and economic practice.
