Business Mentoring Sessions to cykl wydarzeń, których głównym celem jest inspirowanie zagranicznych studentów do związania swojej przyszłości zawodowej z Lublinem i tworzenia własnych, unikalnych biznesów.
22 czerwca 2022 r. w Stołówce Akademickiej UMCS ,,Trójka'', dr Ewelina Panas, Pełnomocnik Rektora UMCS ds. umiędzynarodowienia kształcenia, Welcome Center UMCS we współpracy z Lublin Global Community, EPI - European Pact for Integration oraz Stowarzyszeniem Wolna Lubelszczyzna zorganizowali już drugie spotkanie z zagranicznymi przedsiębiorcami, którzy kilka lat temu przyjechali do Polski, osiedlili się w Lublinie i otworzyli własny biznes.
Wydarzenie otworzył Robert Ainebyona, pracownik Welcome Center UMCS, który powitał ekspertów oraz licznie przybyłych studentów. Następnie głos zabrała Pełnomocnik Rektora UMCS ds. umiędzynarodowienia kształcenia dr Ewelina Panas. Dr Marcin Garbowski, przedstawiciel Urzędu Miasta Lublin przypomniał, dlaczego miasto partycypuje w takich inicjatywach jak Business Mentoring Sessions.
Pierwszym ekspertem Business Mentoring Sessions był radca prawny Maciej Gorzelak - członek Okręgowej Izby Radców Prawnych w Lublinie. Jego prezentacja dotyczyła procesów zakładania firmy oraz obowiązków, które leżą po stronie przedsiębiorcy.
Drugim ekspertem był Adeniyi Aderibigbe, przedsiębiorca społeczny i dyrektor ds. pośrednictwa w zakresie umiejętności z udokumentowaną historią pracy w środowisku akademickim, społeczeństwie obywatelskim, korporacjach i organizacjach non-profit. Opowiedział o tym, jak od studenta naszej uczelni stał się lubelskim przedsiębiorcą, którego biznes stale się rozwija.
Trzecim i ostatnim ekspertem spotkania był Dmitry Rossokhovatskiy, lider QA i analityk biznesowy w DataArt z ponad 10-letnim doświadczeniem. Studentom uczestniczącym w spotkaniu opowiedział o swoich doświadczeniach z życia studenckiego i o tym, jak udało mu się dojść do zawodu informatyka. Zachęcał członków wydarzenia do szukania mentorów w interesujących ich dziedzinach i nie rezygnowania z realizowania pasji.
Na koniec odbyła się sesja pytań i odpowiedzi, a wydarzenie zakończyło się sesją networkingową. To już drugie wydarzenie z serii Business Mentoring Sessions.

Business Mentoring Sessions is a series of events whose main goal is to inspire International students to bind their professional future with Lublin and create their own unique businesses.
On June 22, 2022 at the UMCS Academic Canteen "Trójka", dr Ewelina Panas, UMCS Rector's Proxy for Internationalization of Education, UMCS Welcome Center in cooperation with Lublin Global Community, EPI - European Pact for Integration and Stowarzyszenie Wolna Lubelszczyzna organized the second workshop in a series of such meetings with foreign entrepreneurs who came to Poland a few years ago, settled in Lublin and opened their own businesses.
The event was opened by Robert Ainebyona, an employee of the UMCS Welcome Center, he welcomed the experts and the numerous students who were in attendance. Then, the Rector's Proxy of UMCS for Internationalization of education, dr Ewelina Panas made opening remarks, followed by Dr. Marcin Garbowski, a representative of the Lublin City Hall who reiterated from her words why the city was part of such initiatives like the Business mentoring sessions. There after the event was opened and moderated by Robert Ainebyona from the UMCS Welcome Center.
The first expert of Business Mentoring Sessions was Counsel Maciej Gorzelak – A legal advisor since 2014 and a member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Lublin. His presentation centred on the processes of setting up a legal company and the obligations that lie on the side of the entrepreneur.
The event's second expert was Adeniyi Aderibigbe, a social entrepreneur and skills brokerage executive with a proven track record of working in academia, civil society, corporations and non-profit organizations. He talked about his journey from being a student and how he transformed into an entrepreneur in Lublin.
The third and last expert of the meeting was Dmitry Rossokhovatskiy a QA Lead and Business Analyst at DataArt with over 10 years of experience. To the students participating in the meeting, he shared experiences from his student life and how he was able to join the IT profession. He urged current students to seeks mentors in the fields of interest and not give up also on following passions that are related to business in Lublin.
Finally, there was a Q And A session and the event ended with a networking session. This is the second event in the Business Mentoring Sessions series.
