The new initiative, a satellite of the ATHENA Talks, but with a more political tone, the ATHENA4PEACE, will start on May 16, 2024. Its scope is to foster meaningful dialogue with educators and students in conflict zones.
This effort seeks to gain insights into their daily struggles, explore ways the international community, especially universities, can assist, and discuss our collaborative efforts to promote education for peace.
We aim to transcend rhetoric and political discussions, foster mutual understanding, and advance global peace through education.
We start with the case of Ukraine and welcome our colleague, Professor Yuliana Lavrysh (Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine, Head of the Department of English for Engineering), on Thursday the 16th of May, at 15:00 hrs CET.
