This Thursday, 19 May 2022 at 17.15, we would like to invite you to the lecture of the Lublin Division of the Polish Geographical Society entitled "On the course of the Dnieper river - about Ukrainian loesses, chernozem and broad steppes". Speakers will be employees of our Institute: Dr hab. P. Mroczek and Prof. dr hab. Maria Łanczont, currently conducting two research grants in Ukraine. The paper will be devoted to the latest results of geographic research conducted in west-central Ukraine with particular emphasis on two - distinct in terms of nature - basins of the Dnieper and Dniester rivers. The results of research on the natural environment along the valleys of these rivers flowing into the Black Sea will be presented. The presentation of the most important geotouristic values and the latest archaeological discoveries in the area under discussion will complement the presentation. The lecture is prepared jointly with the Lublin Scientific Society. Meeting place: Auditorium of the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (1st floor, Al. Kraśnicka 2D).
