We are pleased to inform you that on June 27, in the University Hall of the Faculty of Law and Administration at UMCS, the ceremonial promotions of doctors and habilitated doctors took place. Among the 63 promoted doctors was Dr. Kamila Frydrych, whose public defense of her doctoral dissertation in the discipline of Earth and environmental sciences took place on May 22, 2024.
Dissertation topic: "Conditions for the transformation of the paraglacial coastal landscape of Recherchefjorden (Spitsbergen) after the Little Ice Age"

In accordance with academic tradition, the solemn oath was taken in Latin. The musical arrangement of the ceremony was provided by the Academic Choir and the Choir of the Institute of Music at UMCS under the direction of Prof. Małgorzata Nowak.
