It is our great pleasure to inform that a thesis written under the supervision of Dr hab. Waldemar Kociuba, Prof. UMCS (Department of Geology, Soil Science and Geoinformation UMCS) was awarded in this year's Competition of the Mayor of Lublin for the best study on the subject of economic development of the city. Due to the high level of this year's edition, the jury decided to award four distinctions in addition to the main prize.
The winner is Karolina Czyż, a graduate of Geoinformatics (UMCS), and the title of the awarded work is "The use of GIS to assess the communication accessibility of the Lublin Functional Area". The subject of the research was the communication accessibility of LOF and a thorough assessment of the current state of the network.
