Geomorphology Week is an event held for 2 years in the first days of March, initiated by the International Association of Geomorphologists. It is the only such event that provides an opportunity to promote and popularize geomorphological research results on a global scale. The first two editions enjoyed great interest and attracted numerous scientists, popularizers of science, pupils and students, sympathizers of natural sciences.
This year we invite you to participate in various forms of presentations. We encourage you to test your knowledge in a geomorphological quiz, listen to popular science lectures about Iceland, the Andes, Wolin Island or sandstone landscapes of China. Find out what oases are or how the Suwałki megaflood was recognized? All these and other interesting lectures are presented in a detailed and extensive program, which is available under this link. All events will be held remotely via MS Teams application. Links to individual events can be found in the presented schedule. Let's celebrate geomorphology by participating in International Geomorphology Week. Let's encourage our families and friends to learn more about the science of landforms. The Board of the Association of Polish Geomorphologists Speakers from our Institute: Prof. dr hab. Wojciech Zgłobicki, and dr hab. Waldemar Kociuba, Prof. UMCS.
