We are delighted to inform you that on May 10th, during the General Assembly of Delegates of the Polish Geographical Society, which took place in Sosnowiec, Dr. hab. Jan Rodzik, Prof. UMCS, was honored with the prestigious PTG Honorary Membership Award. This award recognizes his outstanding scientific achievements and invaluable contribution to the Society's activities. Dr. hab. Jan Rodzik's significant accomplishments in the scientific world and his commitment to the work of the Polish Geographical Society were presented with deep respect by Dr. hab. Marek Nowosad, Prof. UMCS, who serves as the Chairman of the Awards and Honors Committee.
During the meeting, numerous PTG delegates were present, including employees of our Institute: MSc Beata Zielińska, Dr. Krzysztof Siwek, and Dr. hab. Przemysław Mroczek, Prof. UMCS. Their presence signifies the important role of this event in shaping scientific relationships and the active involvement of our Institute's staff in the development of geography, which is an expression of our long-standing and fruitful cooperation with the Polish Geographical Society.
