In this article, the authors address the highly significant issue of flash flood hazards in the context of land use planning on the Lublin Upland. The study analyzes how changing hydrological conditions may impact the region's settlement network and proposes approaches to mitigating these hazards through appropriate land use management.

This publication is particularly important in the context of climate change adaptation and the protection of areas at risk from intense rainfall and related flood hazards. The study's findings can provide valuable guidance for urban planners and local governments in shaping safer settlement environments in areas with elevated flood risk.
