We kindly inform you that in social media (Facebook), on the profile of the Museum of the Eastern Territories of the Former Republic of Poland, a film "The climate of the city" has been published. The main lector and presenter is Dr Sylwester Wereski (Department of Hydrology and Climatology). The film tells the story of climate research carried out at the UMCS since the early 1950s. The main object presented is the Meteorological Observatory of the UMCS, located in the Lubomirski Palace situated in the heart of Lublin, i.e. in Litewski Square.
Moreover, Dr Sylwester Wereski introduces the issue of meteorological measurements - those historical ones based on analogue instruments as well as digital ones using the latest applications. The film is enriched with very attractive shots of the historic palace and views of its nearest surroundings seen from the observatory on the tower and captured from the bird's eye view.
