Today (i.e. 16 June 2023) marks the beginning of a three-day scientific conference on 'Glaciations and interglacials in Poland - current status and prospects for research'. The venue of the conference is the European Centre for Geological Education (ECEG) in Chęciny. It is an opportunity for specialists in Quaternary geology to honour the 60th anniversary of scientific work and the 85th birthday of Professor Leszek Lindner. The conference is organised by the staff of the Department of Climatic Geology, Faculty of Geology, University of Warsaw. Honorary patronage was assumed by the Rector of the UMCS, Prof. dr hab. Radosław Dobrowolski, and the members of the scientific committee are the following employees of our Institute:
