Jacek Chodorowski, PhD, professor of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Facoulty of Geology, Soil Science and Geoinformation UMCS) is the author of a recently published prestigious scientific article on soil systematics in Poland published in the latest issue of Soil Science Annual.
The article is the culmination of works - of a wide range of Polish specialists in soil science - on the latest sixth edition of Soil Systematics of Poland (SGP6), strengthening the position of soil classification in Poland as a modern scientific system, reflecting the current state of scientific knowledge, contemporary understanding of soil functions and practical needs, including those related to soil cartography.
