The latest issue of Wiadomości Uniwersyteckie (pages 60–63) features an article by Dr Hab. Przemysław Mroczek and Prof. Dr Hab. Maria Łanczont, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of loess research and the contribution of the Lublin center to its development.
The article also highlights the upcoming 80th anniversary of geography at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, which will be celebrated in April 2024. It emphasizes the significant role UMCS has played in advancing research on these fascinating sediments—from the pioneering studies of Professor Adam Malicki and Professor Henryk Maruszczak to modern interdisciplinary research conducted by contemporary scientific teams in Lublin.
