Through the office of Rectors Proxy for Internationalization and the Welcome Center, our international students starting their studies at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University got an opportunity to tour the campus on the 19th October 2022. They were accompanied by Maciej Cieciora and Robert Ainebyona from the Welcome Center UMCS. During the tour, students had the opportunity to visit key campus sites, engage with each other and learn about the university's history. As the international academic community grows UMCS wants students to feel at home and integrate into the larger polish community while also fully accessing all campus facilities. The current cohort of students come from diverse countries such as - Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, China, Japan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, USA, and Zimbabwe to mention but a few. Walk&Talk - UMCS Campus Tour is a continuation of the task financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of the Welcome to UMCS project - an integrated set of activities and institutional improvements focused on strengthening the efficiency of UMCS in the field of providing services to students, doctoral students, and staff from abroad.
The project manager is dr Ewelina Panas - the Rector's Proxy for internationalization of education.
