The 26-year-old hammer thrower from Puławy - Malwina Kopron will be the second Olympic Games in their career. She made her debut in Rio de Janeiro. Then she went to university. Now the situation is completely different. As she admits, in Japan, she can fight for a medal!
- This year, I can confidently say that I am going to fight for a medal! I hope that the years of experience that have passed since the start in Rio will pay off in the capital of Japan. The form is stable, the power boost remains, and I hope that the life throw will come out during the Olympic finals. I am healthy, well prepared: mentally and physically. I believe that I can add 2-3 meters to the 75-meter result I have achieved so often this season. I know that a few players throw further away from me, but as I said, I am going well prepared. I can take up the glove and fight for a medal - announced Malwina Kopron in an interview with Polish Radio Lublin.
The current season is one of the best in the player's career. It regularly reaches distances over 75 meters. She also won the title of national champion for the second time in her career. He goes to Japan with the eighth result on the world lists. The greatest success of Malwina Kopron is: the bronze of the world championship and the gold of the Universiade won in 2017.
We will be able to see Małgorzata Hołub-Kowalik on the treadmill. Representative of AZS UMCS Lublin specializes in sprint runs.
Its crown distance is 400 meters. This is where he is most successful. She is an individual and relay winner of the Universiade. Together with her friends from the Polish national team, she won three gold medals at the European Championships in the 4x400 relay! The competitor also has relay medals of the world championships. The only one missing from her collection is the one from the Olympic Games. In Japan, she will perform in the 4x400 meter relay.
We will see Kopron in Japan on 1st August in the qualifying rounds from 3:10 PM of Polish time.
