Пані та панове,
Перед обличчям драматичних подій, які зараз переживає українське суспільство, влада університету Марії Кюрі-Склодовської в Любліні, на знак солідарності та турботи про членів своєї академічної спільноти, вирішила провести низку заходів, спрямованих на надання підтримки студентам та докторантам UMTS з України.
У зв'язку з вищесказаним повідомляємо, що в нашому університеті запрацювала спрощена процедура оформлення стипендії, яка спрямована студентам, які опинились у складній життєвій ситуації (згідно § 28 Регламенту студентських пільг Університету Марії Кюрі-Склодовської в Любліні). Студенти UMCS з України, які зацікавлені в отриманні такого виду фінансової підтримки, можуть підтримки, можуть подсаво
У обгрунтованих випадках студенти також можуть звернутися до ректора UMCS (через декана факулятету.
Крім того, на наступному засіданні Сенату UMTS ми представимо на затвердження програму «Таланти на UMTS», яка дасть можливість отримати додатковий пул безкоштовних місць для наших студентів з України для навчання на бакалавріаті та магістратурі.
Про можливість проживання в студентських гуртожитках UMCS ми повідомимо в окремих оголошеннях.
Районна палата юридичних радників у Любліні у співпраці з нашим університетом зобов'язалася надавати безкоштовну юридичну підтримку людям, які її потребують у Польщі у зв'язку з бойовими діями в Україні. Dear All,
In view of the undesirable events that Ukrainian society is currently experiencing, the authorities of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, as an expression of solidarity and concern for the members of their academic community, have decided to take a number of measures aimed at providing support to students and doctoral students of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University from Ukraine.
Therefore, we would like to inform you that our University has launched a simplified procedure of applying for financial aid, which a student in a difficult life situation is entitled to (according to § 28 of the Regulations of student benefits at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin). Students of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin who are from Ukraine and are interested in this kind of financial support may apply through the USOSweb system.
In justified cases, students may also apply to the Rector of UMCS (through the Dean of the relevant faculty) for a reduction of tuition fees. In addition, at the next meeting of the Senate we will present for approval the programme "Talents at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University", by means of which an additional pool of free places on bachelor's and master's courses will be opened for our Ukrainian students.
We will inform you about the possibility of accommodation in the UMCS student dormitories in separate announcements.
The Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Lublin, in cooperation with our University, has declared to provide free legal support to people who need it in Poland in connection with the military action in Ukraine. The assistance is provided online, using a specially created e-mail address: ua@oirp.lublin.pl.
For students and doctoral students from Ukraine, our University also provides crisis and psychological support. All consultations and counselling are provided by experienced psychologists and psychotherapists, and you can get detailed information in this regard by contacting directly the specialists from:

The University is also running a cash collection (https://zrzutka.pl/cx62ur) and (starting Monday 28 February) a stationary donation collection point called Together for Ukraine - The funds raised will be used to buy the most necessary things for people from Ukraine, including the families of our students.

You can always count on our help and support. Students and doctoral students of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University from Ukraine are the largest group of foreigners studying at our University, therefore our actions are aimed at providing real support to those who are directly affected by the war in the East.
The situation is dynamic, therefore we assure you that we will try to help you on an ongoing basis, adjusting the assistance to the individual needs and life situation of each student and PhD student of the University.
