On the 25th of June 2021, at the Congress Centre of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, the summary and announcement of the results of the 20th Jubilee edition of the competition "For the Crystal Brick for the best construction investment on both sides of the eastern border of the European Union - on the Sun and Snow Trail".
The Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin was awarded the first place and the Crystal Brick in the "Educational Facilities" category for the new building of the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism and a distinction in the "Renovation, Revitalization and Modernization" category for the Chatka Żaka UMCS Academic Centre of Culture and Media.
The Polish Housing Society organizes the event in Lublin. The International Jury settled the competition. The main goal of the plebiscite is to stimulate economic, economic and civic activity in the regions of Eastern Europe by promoting and documenting activities in the field of regional infrastructure, construction and architecture development.
On behalf of the University, the awards were collected by Grażyna Elżbieta Fiok, UMCS Chancellor.
