On 17th March of this year, the Rector of UMCS, prof. Radosław Dobrowolski and Vice-Rector for General Affairs dr hab. Arkadiusz Bereza, prof. of the University met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria in Warsaw, Andreas Stadler, and the Honorary Consul of Austria in Lublin, Piotr Majchrzak. Representatives of university authorities had the opportunity to officially meet the Ambassador and discuss the possibilities of developing academic cooperation between UMCS and research centres in Austria.
During the meeting, Ambassador Stadler referred to the long-term bilateral relations between Poland and Austria. He also expressed his hope that building good relations between UMCS and Austrian centres will contribute to the development of international cooperation of the university and bring fruitful results for both parties - both in the human dimension and in the field of scientific and cultural development.
