Rector’s Announcement of September 17, 2021
on accommodation in student dormitories in the 2021/22 academic year
Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin

1. I would like to kindly inform that accommodation in student dormitories of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin shall start on September 27, and end on October 1, 2021 (on working days from Monday to Friday).

2. The accommodation in a particular dormitory will be possible after prior confirmation of the day and the estimated time of accommodation to the administration of the given dormitory. The declaration of the particular date and time of the accommodation shall enable everyone to minimise the number of people who will wait for accommodation process in a safe way.

3. To register for the particular day and time of accommodation, dormitories’ residents shall contact  dormitory employees by e-mail or telephone between September 20-24, 2021. Telephone numbers and e-mail addresses for the administration of student dormitories are available at https://www.umcs.pl/pl/akademik.htm and in this announcement.

Accommodation during the above-mentioned dates will be held according to the following rules:

1) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on working days (from Monday to Friday) according to the stated day and time of accommodation to a particular dormitory for a given person;

2) the number of students who want to be accommodated in a dormitory on a particular day will be determined individually by the Head of a given dormitory in consultation with the Head of the Administration of Dormitories and Academic Canteen Section, following the sanitary regime;

3) people who have symptoms of COVID-19 will not be accommodated;

4) accommodating people are obliged to wear gloves, a facemask and their own pens as well as to keep a safe distance from other people (at least 1.5 m);

5) in order to accommodate, the student shall come to the assigned dormitory in person with an ID card and a photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) for the resident's card;

6) in order to follow the sanitary regime, on the day of accommodating in the student dormitory, only the person who has been assigned the place will have an opportunity to come to the dormitory:

- the exceptions are people with adjudication of  disability, who are not able to bring their belongings on their own. The carer of the disabled person will be able to enter the dormitory with the consent of the Head of the dormitory, after prior information by e-mail or telephone;

7) taking into account the epidemic situation, only things that are really necessary for functioning during the stay in the dormitory should be taken to the student dormitory.

People who have been assigned places in student dormitories and who will not be able to appear on the above-mentioned days for health reasons, please contact the administration of the student dormitories to arrange an additional date.

The University reserves the right to cancel or modify the rules adopted in this announcement in the event of introducing changes to the generally applicable regulations related to the state of the epidemic.
