Anouncement from the Library Director of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University

I would like to kindly inform you that from May 6, 2020 in the Main Library the readers will be able to borrow and return books between 9.00-13.00.

These tasks will be executed in the Lending Room and the Free Access area on the ground floor of the main building of the Library.

All reading rooms in the Main Library remain closed to readers.

In the Library, readers are required to use masks and at the entrance to disinfect their hands in a designated place.

Electronic book ordering will be enabled on May 6, 2020, items not picked up within 5 days of placing the order will be sent back to the warehouse.

Order processing hours at The Main Library of UMCS:

The books can be borrowed from Free Access areas through a librarian.

Readers who want to borrow books from Free Access area are asked to write down the domain reference number for the given item from the catalog.

Charging for keeping books does not apply until May 31 this year.

All information on the functioning of the Main Library and specialist libraries will be published on a regular basis.
