OBLIGATION TO COVER THE MOUTH AND NOSE IN PUBLIC PLACES
The obligation to: wear a face mask or other mouth and nose coverings. What does it mean? Everybody is obliged to cover their mouths and noses in the street, while walking, in public offices, shops, service points, and workplaces. Applies from: Thursday, 16 April 2020 Applies until: further notice.
RESTRICTIONS ON MOVEMENT
Restriction applies to: moving, travelling, staying in public places. What is it about? Leaving the house should be kept to an absolute minimum and the distance from other pedestrians should be at least 2 meters. You can move when: taking care of things necessary for everyday life (which includes, for example, necessary shopping, buying medicines, visiting a doctor). Valid until: further notice. Important! 2 metres – now there is an obligation to maintain a distance of at least 2 meters between pedestrians.
NEW: Teenagers between 13 and 18 may leave home without an adult.
INFORMATION ON USING PARKS, BEACHES, BOULEVARDS, PROMENADES AND CITY BIKES
Restriction applies to: You may leave home for recreational purposes, sports, enter forests and parks (for good mental condition). Children playgrounds will still remain closed! It will still not be allowed to use city bikes. Valid until: Cancellation
PROHIBITION OF GATHERINGS AND EVENTS
Restriction applies to: organization of gatherings, meetings, or events. What is it about? All gatherings, meetings, events or get-togethers of more than 2 people are prohibited. This restriction does not apply to meetings with immediate family with whom you live together. Valid until: further notice.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Restriction applies to: public transport journeys. What is it about? On a bus, tram or subway, only half the seats can be occupied. Ideally, every second seat should be left empty. If there are 70 seats in the vehicle, there can be a maximum of 35 people on board. Valid until: further notice.
CARS WITH MORE THAN 9 SEATS
The restriction applies to: car journeys in cars larger than 9 persons and private collective transport. What is it about? In a car with more than 9 seats, a maximum of half the seats may be occupied. Valid until: further notice. Important! The restriction does not apply to passenger cars.
NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS IN THE SHOP, MARKET AND POST OFFICE
Restriction applies to: the number of customers staying at the same time on the shop premises, marketplace and post office What is it about?
Shops and service points
Stores with the area of less than 100 m2: 4 persons for one sales point. Stores with the area of more than 100 m2: 1 person per 15 m2 of the store’s area
Gloves Before entering a shop, you will have to put on gloves (to be provided by the shop).
Hours for seniors Between 10:00 and 12:00, shops and service points may only accept and serve persons over 65 years old. During the remaining hours shops and service outlets are open to all. This includes people over 65 years of age.
Markets A market or marketplace can have a maximum of as many people as the number of trading points multiplied by 3. So if there are 20 such points in your neighborhood market, there can be a maximum of 60 customers at any one time.
Post offices There may be as many people on the premises of the post office as the number of post office windows multiplied by 2. If there are 5 windows, there may be 10 people on the premises at one time.

HAIRDRESSING, BEAUTY AND TATTOO SALONS
Restriction applies: all hairdressing, beauty, tattoo and piercing establishments are closed. What is it about? All hairdressing, beauty, tattoo and piercing establishments are closed down without exception. These services will also not be possible outside the salons - e.g. home visits are not an option. Valid until: cancellation.
RELIGIOUS FESTIVITIES
Restriction on: participation in events of a religious nature. What is it about? A limited number of people may attend mass or other religious rite. This is one participant per every 15 m2.- excluding those in service (in case of funerals - persons employed by the funeral parlour). Valid until: further notice. Important! It is encouraged to participate in religious events via television, radio or the Internet.
BARS AND RESTAURANTS
Restriction applies to: operation of restaurants, cafés or bars. Recommendations: All restaurants, cafés or bars may only provide takeaway and delivery services. It is not possible to serve meals or drinks on site. Valid until: cancellation.
CULTURE
Restriction applies to: activities of cultural institutions Recommendations: All cultural institutions remain closed. These include museums, art galleries, theatres, philharmonics, operas, cinemas, film clubs, libraries, and permanent cultural activities. Until 10 April 2020, classes in art schools are also suspended. Valid until: cancellation. Important! Also: gyms, swimming pools, fitness and dance clubs are closed until further notice.
QUARANTINE
Restriction applies to: persons who:
- return from abroad,
- have had contact with persons infected (or potentially infected) with the coronavirus,
- cross the border in order to take up employment on the territory of a neighbouring country or on the territory of the Republic of Poland (from 27.03.2020),
- live with a person who will be placed in quarantine from 1 April (the provision enters into force on 1 April 2020 and applies to newly quarantined persons).
What is it about? Quarantine lasts 14 days. During this time:
- under no circumstances may you leave your home,
- walking with your dog, going to the store or to the doctor is forbidden.
If a quarantined person has close contacts with other people in the house, they must also be quarantined,
In the case of a symptom of illness (feeling unwell, fever, coughing, dyspnea), it is necessary to report it by phone to the sanitary and epidemiological station.
If a person undergoing quarantine is not able to spend it at home, the provincial governors have premises for quarantine and this person will be able to go there.
Valid until: cancellation.
Important! As part of the patrols, the police visit people who are under quarantine and check that they remain in their place of residence. The regulations provide for the possibility to impose a financial penalty of up to 30 thousand PLN on those who do not comply with the quarantine. The decision on the specific amount of the penalty is always individual.
