The Scientific Research Centre cordially notifies that the commencement of the call for requests to the 2nd edition of the programme supporting scientific activity entitled the ”UMCS Mini-Grants” („Minigranty UMCS”) has been promulgated by prof. dr. hab. Wiesław I. Gruszecki, the UMCS Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation.
Within the framework of the current edition of the programme, the requests will be accepted in the UMCS Scientific Research Centre between 1 December 2022 and 28 February 2023. The outcomes of the contest will be announced after 28 February 2023.
The requests to the programme can be submitted by research and didactic employees as well as research employees, reported to number N, in such scientific disciplines that are subjected to evaluation in the UMCS.
The programme is preferentially targeted at:
- young researchers (up to the fifth year following the obtainment of a doctoral degree);
- employees conducting research of an interdisciplinary nature - who have not been hitherto laureates of other scientific grant programmes.
The financial resources in the amount of up to PLN 20,000 (twenty thousand zlotys) are distributed under the programme to research projects with the duration no longer than twelve months.
The recommended implementation period for the mini-grant is as of 1 April 2023
The requests will be assessed by the members of the panel appointed by the Vice-Rector for Science from among a group of experts and the UMCS Council of Young Scientists. In each contest 5 grants will be awarded.
In exceptional cases the panel of experts may give a consent to investment outlays.
