On October 18, 2023 (Wednesday) the second edition of "3,2,1... STUDIES START!" will be held at the very heart of our university's campus. Start at 10 a.m.!
The aim of the event is to integrate our academic community, exchange experiences and present student scientific groups and organizations that provide opportunities for additional development during studies. The programme will also include, among many others, a guided tour around the University Campus organized by our students and numerous meetings with representatives of the university units which provide various services to students (such as support for people with disabilities, psychological and career counselling, etc.).
The invited guests will also talk about the cooperation possibilities offered by our University. Also, an important issue of personal development and planning of further professional career is going be discussed. The UMCS Main Library will also reveal its secrets to us.
At the Promotion Center stand, students will be able to sign up for the "I Act for UMCS" project, which will enable them to take an active part in organized events, educational fairs, photo sessions, open houses and many other activities at the UMCS.
There will be a plant exchange point created by the UMCS Botanical Garden.
Thanks to our Partner - "Bazylia" - hot tea will be waiting for all visitors.

Event program
10.00 – the official opening of the event by the UMCS authorities which includes:
- the exchange of potted plants;
- presentations of the selected Scientific Circles, organizations and units of the University;
- Career counselling;
- Recreation area;
- “I work for UMCS” - registration;
- a hot cup of tea for event participants;
- meetings with guests at the University Summer Studio.
12.30 – "City within the city - UMCS Campus" trip.
14.00 – end of the event
The event is dedicated primarily to first-year students but those who have already taken their first steps at the University are also welcomed!
If you are curious about everyday life at our University, want to learn more about the organizations and units, or maybe you would like to talk to other students over a cup of warm tea, you can't miss the event!
